Over a year in the making, Brett Kaufman has just debuted his latest digital collage piece entitled “Harvey Milk”. It is the 13th collage in a series of historical portraits which have been created over the past decade. This most recent edition was inspired by an original photograph taken by San Francisco photographer Dan Nicoletta who was also featured this month in Eat Pray Fuck. The collage was meticulously constructed using over 600 photographic images taken from candle light vigils. The 2010 commemorative portrait of Harvey MilkĀ is now available in limited edition and can be purchased by contacting him directly through his online portfolio.
“Harvey has made more of an impact on me, than any other historical icon has.
He opened my eyes to being proud of who I am, and who I choose to love”.
