OH MY GOD BECKY…I”LL BE THERE!

One of my favorite SF – Queer Author -Performaner- Sex Worker Artists Kirk Read has organized this show in conjunction with The National Queer Arts Festival.

For centuries, erotic pioneers and outlaws have made art. Without sex worker artists, San Francisco would be boring. This is a variety show featuring a dozen  sex workers. Expect stories, performances, music, videos and photography by artists who are current or former sex workers.
Last year’s event sold out both nights, so we’re in a larger venue for one night only as part of the National Queer Arts Festival.
curated by Kirk Read, featuring performances by Suppositori Spelling, Inbred Hybrid Collective, Adela Vazquez, Jesse Hewit, Christraper Sings, George Birimisa, Cyd Nova, Kirk Read, Ben McCoy, Jaime Cortez, horehound stillpoint, a slideshow of visual artists and more!

Drew Boles Video + Interview

Sunday, April 11th, 2010

Earlier this month I interviewed  androgynous composer and sound designer Drew Boles at his studio in the Mission District.  Midway through the interview I coerced Drew into throwing on a stylish ensemble and performing one of his new songs down in the industrial district of San Francisco.

Besides being a talented performance artist I found Drew’s unapologetic ownership of his individualism refreshing and powerful.

Be sure to proceed to the music video immediately after the interview.

ARE YOU A COLOR QUEEN ???

Friday, March 26th, 2010

Like me?

I am a color queen. I think about color all the time…I play with it. I obsess on it and I try to control it. I give a lot of thought to color combinations in particular.

Sometimes, when I’m feeling sad I will go to my new favorite website colorlovers.com and look at fabulous color combinations. Then I feel happy again. Website
